We could not have
projected just how the world, as we know it, has changed in such a short period
of time with all socially oriented and non-essential businesses and shops
either closed altogether or working remotely. For all of us right now the next number
of months will involve a great deal of uncertainty and change as we emerge in
due course into a new world that is likely to be very different than what we
knew before.
DSM, as an essential
service, continues to work as closely to normal as possible from its headquarters
here in the Annacotty Industrial Estate in Limerick providing services
primarily to our health-related customers.
We are following all
the public Health advice regarding COVID – 19 and we have implemented the
following measures for the protection of both you, our customers, and our own
team members.:
- DSM’s
building is closed at this time to all visitors, both customers and suppliers.
We will open it up again and welcome visitors just as soon as it is safe to do
so.
- We
have rearranged our offices and warehouse space and work practices to
facilitate social distancing.
- We
are practising social distancing at our customers’ sites and we are also
committed to doing so in our personal lives away from the workplace.
- We
are observing the need to wash our hands regularly and a facility to do this has
been installed in each of our vans to be used by our drivers before and after
customer visits.
- We
are using hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes both on-site and in our vans.
- We
have provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) where this is needed, to our
team members.
We have also increased
our videoconferencing facilities, to ensure that we can still hold meetings,
albeit remotely, with our customers and suppliers. We would like to welcome our
customers to join us for meetings, either video or just audio, even if it is
just to stay in touch at this time.
We are also, where
needed, transferring records securely and electronically to our customers,
particularly to those who are working from home, or where their work facility
has been closed to visitors. This is in addition to our regular daily retrievel
and delivery service.
Please let us know if there is anything that you need in the
coming weeks and months and we will find a way to get it to you safely and
securely. However, if you don’t need our service in the near future please just
stay in touch so that we know that you are ok, and we will look forward to
resuming our full business programme with you as soon as it is safe to do so.
