Data Storage & Management Ltd T/A DSM was registered as a Limited Company in September 1998. In the following year (1999) DSM achieved its first ISO Quality Standard having implemented a robust Quality Management System to support the consistent provision of a reliable and cost effective service to its customers.
DSM has maintained its ISO Quality Standard since 1999 (upgraded to ISO 9001:2015 in 2017). In 2011 the company achieved the ISO Information Security Standard 27001:2005 (Upgraded to ISO 27001:2013 in 2015) and became one of a very small number of Records Management Companies in Ireland to achieve this standard.
While DSM has always provided a strong ethos of Data Protection at all levels, in the past year it has made many changes to further strengthen and enhance this in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
DSM employs a team of 11 highly trained and committed people, some of whom have been with DSM since it commenced trading in 1998. We respect and value all of our customers and recognise that without their loyalty and support DSM would not be able to continue to provide a stable and viable business and continue to improve our service.
Security and confidentiality are at the heart of DSM's commitment to customers. DSM's facility in Annacotty, Limerick is 'state-of-the-art' with a footprint of almost 25,000 square feet of warehouse, vault and office accommodation all of which is protected by CCTV and externally monitored burglar and fire alarms.
All of DSM's staff have signed confidentiality agreements as part of their contract of employment with DSM. All items in storage i.e. boxes, files, media cases, media tapes etc. are listed on DSM's comprehensive database and customers are provided with password-protected on-line access to this. in this regard 24-hour continuous access is provided for customers to the following services on-line as a value-added service:
- The full inventory of all items in storage is made available, password-protected) to customers
- Retrievals can be ordered on-line from any remote internet location
- Customers can catalogue all files/media tapes as individual items on DSM's database
- Customers can track and trace all items as these are retrieved and delivered/collected by DSM
