DSM Wins Best SME: Regional Business Excellence Award – A Milestone Achievement

On 14 November 2025, DSM was named Best SME: Regional Business Excellence Award winner at the Limerick Chamber’s annual Regional Business Awards, proudly sponsored by AIB. The event celebrated businesses driving growth and innovation across the Mid-West.

The Chamber summed it up perfectly in their announcement:

“Congratulations to DSM – Data Storage & Management on winning the 2025 Best SME: Regional Business Excellence Award, proudly sponsored by AIB. This achievement recognises DSM’s exceptional leadership, continuous innovation, and strong contribution to business growth across the Mid-West. Well deserved and a standout moment for a company setting the standard for regional excellence.”

Why This Award Matters

The Best SME category honours companies that combine strong performance with leadership, innovation, and regional impact. For DSM, this recognition reflects:

  • Resilience and Growth; navigating market challenges while reinvesting over €1 million in people, infrastructure, and brand initiatives in the past two years.
  • Innovation with Purpose; digitisation solutions that help regulated industries work smarter and meet Irish compliance standards.
  • Regional Leadership; supporting local business initiatives and co-founding the Limerick IT Summit to share practical roadmaps for digital transformation.
  • Sustainability Commitment; investing in solar energy and energy-efficient infrastructure, aiming for Scope 1 & 2 neutrality by 2027.

Perspective

Winning feels good—but it’s not the finish line. Awards bring visibility and trust, but they also raise expectations. DSM’s focus remains practical: helping clients digitise responsibly, strengthen compliance, and reduce risk. Recognition is a platform, not a pedestal.

As DSM’s leadership team put it:

“This award validates the work we’ve done and the direction we’re heading—but it also challenges us to keep raising the bar.”

What’s Next?

Winning this award is a milestone—but it’s also a mandate to keep moving forward. DSM’s next chapter focuses on four strategic pillars:

Digital & Data Leadership

We will expand DSM Link and Total Recall capabilities, deepen analytics, and introduce Intelligent Document Processing to help clients extract insight from unstructured archives. Our goal: faster, safer decisions from governed data.

Compliance & Governance at Scale

Building on ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, GDPR oversight via DPC registration, and external DPO support, we’ll automate retention, strengthen audit readiness, and deliver governance as a service—turning regulatory obligations into operational advantages.

Sustainability & Regional Impact

DSM is committed to Scope 1 & 2 neutrality by 2027 through solar generation, energy efficiency, and greener logistics. We’ll continue to support local suppliers, create jobs, and lead initiatives like the Limerick IT Summit to drive digital empowerment in the Mid-West.

Customer-Centric Innovation

With CSAT scores of 92% (2024) and 100% (2025) and NPS up to 96, we’ll keep listening. Expect new tools, smarter workflows, and personalised support that make compliance simple and transformation practical.

Why It Matters for Our Clients

Our hybrid, compliance-first model unifies physical and digital records into one governed ecosystem. Through DSM Link and Total Recall EDRMS, clients gain a single view of inventory, access, reporting, and audit trails—underpinned by role-based access control and lifecycle management. This reframes records from a cost centre into a controlled, compliant, and valuable asset.

Looking Ahead

DSM has never sought the limelight; this was our first time entering the awards. The win honours not just DSM’s team, but the wider Mid-West business community that collaborates, competes, and grows together. For us, the real work continues: enabling faster, safer, better-informed decisions for our clients while making a meaningful difference to our region and environment.
