Shredding Bins
DSM recognises that customers have day-to-day shredding needs as well as cyclical shredding needs related to the retention and disposal of documents once these have achieved their official destruction date under data protection legislation.
DSM now provides shredding bins to its customers to facilitate the confidential shredding of minor and duplicate documents/papers as the need arises on the customer's site. All shredding bins are locked when placed on the customer's site and remain as such until they are sent for shredding on DSM's site. Shredding bins are bar-coded and allocated to customers to ensure no confusion occurs as to the ownership of the shredding.
This is a very cost-effective way to dispose of such paper documents. The customer pays a very small access and warehouse handling charge each time the shredding bin is placed on the customer site and also the actual cost of the shredding. Shredding bins are normally rotated on-demand i.e. as per customer requirements.
